Building walls and temples,
Edifying the self,
To lose it all in one stance.

To glorify, to praise the self
Of he who thinks himself as a god.
Just to fall under the clouds.

To look above the stars,
To see himself as one,
Just to realize there’s a million more.

The hubris of the defeated,
Stands alone,
Hurts the soul
Of he who thought himself as god.

To humble the self,
We must fall from beyond,
To stand below and stare above
For the better self that’s to come.

Far beyond the pedant flesh,
Lies the moulded soul
Of the defeated jerk.

Living, learning, listening
Is how the hubris dissolves
Into the abyss of the unknown.
